New Braunfels offers a vibrant network of hike and bike trails with over 8 miles of trails inside the city limits, offering something for everyone, from casual walkers to avid cyclists and nature lovers.

  • County Line Memorial Trail: A paved linear trail stretching about 2.2 miles between County Line Road and FM 725. Perfect for walking, running, cycling, or bringing your dog, it features shaded benches, bridges, and connects neighborhoods and schools.

  • Dry Comal Creek Trail: A 2.25‑mile loop that winds through varied habitats including forested savannas and creekside areas. Open to hikers, bikers, and mountain bikers, it’s part of the Comal Trails Alliance system.

  • Panther Canyon Nature Trail: Located within Landa Park, this 1.6 to 1.8 mile natural surface trail climbs the Balcones Escarpment through oak-juniper woodlands. It’s ideal for hikers seeking light elevation changes and native flora.

On top of these established trails, the city is expanding its system. Projects like the Waterway Lane Hike & Bike Trail (planned from Gruene Road to FM 306) and Willard Canyon will bring even more green‑space connectivity for residents and  visitors. Whether you’re up for a casual stroll, family bike ride, or a mountain‑biking adventure, New Braunfels delivers a rich outdoor trail experience right in your backyard.
