Effective immediately (08-04-23), Union Pacific Railroad will temporarily resume sounding train horns at ten railroad crossings in New Braunfels. The following railroad intersections will be impacted:

Recent inspections have identified the listed railroad crossings as out of compliance with federal regulations. The City has contracted with a specialist and is developing a plan to restore all crossings. City staff will work diligently to restore quiet zones at those crossings as soon as possible. Train horns will remain in effect until the crossings meet compliance.
