At a minimum, every NBFD firefighter holds dual certifications:

Most New Braunfels firefighters go beyond these minimum standards, holding advanced certifications in areas such as Paramedicine, Fire Officer development, Technical Rescue, and Hazardous Materials response. The Training Division's mission is to ensure that our responders are prepared to protect the community effectively and safely through a combination of hands-on training, classroom instruction, and scenario-based exercises.
