About
Looking for an unforgettable summer adventure? Look no further than Camp Minnehaha! Our general summer camp program for children ages 5-12 offers an incredible variety of daily activities from arts and crafts, sports and games, nature and science and more that will keep your child engaged, inspired and energized all summer long!
Make sure your camper comes prepared for a day of fun in the sun with a sack lunch, water bottle, swimsuit, sunscreen and towel. With our top-notch facilities at the Landa Recreation Center, Landa Haus and Seele Elementary, your child will have access to everything they need to make it their BEST summer yet!

Calling all young adults aged 13-15! Join our Counselors in Training (CIT) program at Camp Minnehaha and gain valuable job training skills while having a blast helping counselors set up activities and events, implementing programs and events and supporting our campers throughout the day. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to prepare for your future while enjoying the best summer ever!
Apply to be a CIT
- Fill out and return the application to the Recreation Supervisor via in person at 164 Landa Park Dr. or email by Apr. 28.
- Have at least one reference form filled out by a non-relative adult and returned via in person at 164 Landa Park Dr. or email by Apr. 28.
Selected CITs will need to attend a mandatory CIT Orientation on a Sat. in May. (Date TBD)

The City of New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department (NB PARD) fully supports the provision of the Americans with Disabilities Act and is committed to supporting the full inclusion of persons with disabilities into programs, classes, services and public facilities so that full participation may be enjoyed by all. Payment Policies
Deposits
A deposit may be made at the time of registration to secure a spot in individual weeks of Camp Minnehaha by paying $25 per child, per week of camp that they would like to register for.
Remaining Payment
The remaining balance for camp tuition is due 14 days before the campers first day of camp for each registered week. Failure to submit the remaining payment, 14 days before registered start date, may result in the forfeiture of that week’s deposit and the loss of the reserved spot at camp.
Special Circumstances
Special circumstances related to withdrawal requests not specifically covered within this policy will be determined at the discretion of the NB PARD Director or designee.
Cancellation Policy
Full refunds will only be given if notice is received seven (7) or more days prior to the start of the registered camp week. No refund can be given once camp has begun. Registration costs will not be prorated for partial attendance.
Participant Information Form (PI Form)
All campers must have a Participant Information Form, (PI Form), filled out prior to coming to camp. PI Forms are valid for an entire calendar year and will be used for other camps across the City of New Braunfels such as Fischer Park Nature Camp, Kids Day Out and more.
Parents and guardians can find the Participant Information Form online and email it to the Recreation Programs Supervisor. Forms can also be brought in person the first day of camp.
Children with Disabilities
Children with a disability may request a reasonable modification to participate with NB PARD by contacting the Administration office at 830-221-4350. All requests must be made a minimum of 14 days prior to the starting date of the program/service.
