Cemetery Search Tool

About

The City of New Braunfels uses a digital map to help people find and learn about gravesites in local cemeteries. This easy-to-use tool lets you search for names, see where someone is buried, and explore the cemetery's layout from your phone or computer. It also works great on mobile devices—if you're visiting in person, you can enable location services to get walking directions to any grave.

The map covers over 18,000 cemetery spaces, so loading may take a moment; we appreciate your patience. This tool helps keep records organized, makes visits easier for families, and supports the City in caring for cemetery spaces more efficiently.

If you have questions or notice any errors, please email the City Secretary’s Office for help.

Using the Cemetery Map

Search by Name or Plot Number

Use the search bar at the top of the screen to look up a person’s name or Plot ID. If you’re using a Plot ID, just enter the Lot and Space number (for example, “687 511”) to find the exact location.

View Plot Summaries

Click on any plot to generate a summary page with detailed information. This includes the name(s) of those buried there and their burial details, along with the exact location of the grave. Veterans are marked on the map with a dog tag icon, making it easy to identify and honor those who served in the military.

Create a Memorial

Families can create online memorials to celebrate loved ones. For a one-time $49 fee, you can add stories and upload as many photos as you’d like.
