Coach E.E. "Bud" Dallmann Olympic Pool 

This 25yrd x 50m pool is named in honor of the Landa Park Dolphins Head Coach for over 50 years, Bud Dallmann. The pool depth varies between 4 and 7ft deep with dedicated lap lanes available during open hours. The Landa Park Dolphins Swim Team calls this pool home and hosts the TAAF Regional Meet annually. Access to this pool is possible by a 4 foot wide step entry and a handicap lift.

Springfed Pool

This historic body of water is fed by the Comal Springs and stays a constant 72 degrees year round. Built in the early 1900s, it is one of the oldest and most historic bathing pools in Texas. This pool varies in depth from 0 to 9ft deep and features a shallow end with mushroom fountain and 10ft tall water slide, and in the deep end, floating platforms, climbing walls, and a rope swing.

Zero Depth Pool

Similar to a splash pad, this pool varies in depth from 0 to 2.5-ft deep and is an ideal body of water for those under 5 years of age. It features a mushroom fountain and frog slide for their enjoyment.

Swim Lessons

It's never too early or too late to teach your child the importance of water safety. New Braunfels Parks and Recreation offers swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. Classes are Red Cross-based with exceptional instructors. The Landa Park Aquatic Complex offers outdoor swim lessons during the summer months. Das Rec's two indoor pools offer a variety of year-round classes that begin at the start of each month (two-week sessions become available during summer months). Swimming lessons are available for an additional fee and are not included in Das Rec memberships.

Swim Lesson Levels - Register Online

• Parent/Child: For ages 6-months to 48-months. Familiarizes very young children with the water and teaches swimming readiness skills and gives parents safety information. This class requires parent participation.
• Pre-School: For ages 4-5 years. Familiarizes children with the aquatic environment and helps them acquire basic aquatic skills. This course also helps participants begin to develop positive attitudes and safe practices in and around water.
• Level 1: For ages 6-12 years. Orients participants to the aquatic environment and helps them gain basic aquatic skills. This course also helps participants begin to develop positive attitudes and safe practices around water. Skills to be learned include: bobs, blowing bubbles, glides and recovery, very basics of freestyle.
• Level 2: For ages 6-12 years. This course builds on the basic aquatic and water safety skills and concepts learned in Level 1.
• Level 3: For ages 6-12 years. This course builds on the skills learned in Levels 1 and 2 to help participants achieve basic water competency in a pool environment. Skills to be learned include: survival float, treading water, elementary backstroke, breaststroke kick, streamline position.
• Level 4 : For ages 6-12 years. Helps participants refine their performance of all six swimming strokes (front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary backstroke and sidestroke). Skills to be learned include: open turns, butterfly, breaststroke, increased time treading water, increased distance swim.

Private Swim Lessons - Register Online

For ages 3+. Provides one-on-one attention to enhance instruction of swimming skills. Private swim lessons are ideal for anyone who wants a more customized experience for children, teens, and adults.

Facility Rules

1. Lifeguards must be obeyed at all times.
2. Patrons must follow posted pool rules that are applicable at each facility. 
3. Running is prohibited.
4. All patrons must wear swimsuits while swimming in the pools.  Street clothes are not permitted in the pools.
5. Children 9 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian 18 years of age or older.
6. It is strongly encouraged that all swimmers shower before entering the pool.
7. Swim diapers must be worn by diaper-wearing patrons.
8. Food, drinks, and gum are not permitted in the pool or on the deck area immediately surrounding the pool.
9. Smoking, tobacco products, alcohol, glass, grills, speakers, and styrofoam products are prohibited. Canopy tents, large umbrellas, other sunshade structures, and personal grills are also prohibited.
10. Persons under the influence or in possession of alcoholic beverages and/or narcotics will be ejected from the facility.
11. Swimmers are not allowed to hang onto or play on lane lines, lifeguard stands, swimming blocks, swim lesson platforms, or any other pool equipment.
12. Horse/rough play, dunking, water fighting, sitting or hanging on another person’s shoulders or pushing other swimmers into the pool is not permitted.
13. Swimmers are not allowed to run or flip from the pool's edge.
14. Diving is permitted only in designated areas.
15. The lap lanes are reserved for lap swimming only. 
16. Animals/pets are prohibited.
17. Abusive or profane language is prohibited.
18. No person may teach swimming, diving, or conduct any aquatic group activity in a municipal pool without approval from the Parks and Recreation Director.
19. Each pool will be temporarily closed to further admissions when maximum capacity is reached.
20. It shall be prohibited for anyone to swim in a municipal pool when:
    1. The pool is not open to the general public.
    2. The pool is not staffed with a full complement of City lifeguard personnel.
    3. The pool is reserved for a private pool party, and City lifeguard personnel are not on duty.
    4. The pool is being used by a group or organization without written agreement with the City or without mature supervisory personnel on duty.
21. Any person known or suspected of being infected with any transmissible condition of a communicable disease shall be excluded from the pool.* 
    1. *Texas Sanitation and Health Protection Law- Swimming Pools and Bath Houses, codified in Vernon’s Civil Statutes, Art. 477-1, with amendments.
22. No person, patron, or non-patron may interfere with an emergency rescue, administering of emergency first aid or resuscitation, or other emergency procedures.  It shall also be prohibited for anyone to falsely summon emergency rescue or first aid equipment for any purpose other than an actual emergency.
23. It shall be mandatory that patrons and spectators heed and obey emergency or directives of all pool personnel (Manager, lifeguard, etc).  At such times when regularly scheduled aquatic activities are not in progress, swimming pool maintenance personnel shall be vested with the responsibility and authority of directing and controlling anyone attempting to use or misuse any municipal swimming facility.
24. Vehicles other than emergency rescue or ambulances will not be allowed to park in the zone so designated.
25. Height restrictions will be enforced on the Rope/Zip Line (>54 inches).
26. Only one person is allowed on each attraction, at a given time.   Patrons must wait behind the designated line.  No street clothes, flotation devices, swim toys, masks, or goggles are allowed on the attractions.  Sliders must proceed feet first, on their back.
27. If defecation, urination, vomiting, or other bodily fluids occurs in the pool, it will be closed for proper sanitation.
28. If mechanical problems occur, the pools will be shut down.
29. The aquatic staff has complete responsibility and authority to maintain order and safety in the facility. Management has the right to remove anyone from the facility.

Kiddy City Slide Rules (Shallow End of Springfed)

1. Remain on the steps until a staff member calls for you.
2. Do not participate in this attraction if you are more than 60” tall.
3. Only one person allowed on slide at a time.
4. Slide feet first.  Do not reach over the sides.
5. Exit the landing area immediately.
6. Failure to follow these rules may result in personal injury and expulsion from the facility.

Zero Depth Pool Rules

1. Generally, no child over 5 years of age is to be permitted in this pool. It is a baby pool and shall be restricted primarily for this use.
2. The Zero Depth Pool guard is not to be used as a babysitter at any time.  Guards shall not permit parents/guardians to leave children unattended.
3. Children should be within arm’s reach of a competent adult.
4. No diving.
5. One person at a time on the slide.
6. Ride feet first on back.
