Calibre Press – Stress & Survival: Force Analysis to Prepare You for Violent Encounters

Friday, May 29, 2026

This program is designed to explore how the body reacts when unexpected high-pressure situations affect your ability to understand and process an immediate threat.

About the Course

When a lethal threat presents itself, there’s often no time to think. Your body and mind can be hijacked by acute stress. This program is designed to explore how the body reacts when unexpected high-pressure situations affect your ability to understand and process an immediate threat. We then offer techniques to help you stay calm, focused, and physically ready when it matters most.

This course is available to certified officers and is open to officers from outside law enforcement agencies.

By the end of this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Develop Tactical Decision-Making Skills:

    • Learn and apply decision-making models (OODA Loop, Recognition-Primed Decision Model) for high-stakes scenarios
  • Recognize, Analyze, and Control Stress Response:

    • Understand how acute stress affects the body and mind, and apply techniques to regain control in high-pressure situations
  • Stay Ahead of the Threat Mentally:

    • Develop tactical thinking strategies that can help improve situational awareness during threat-induced stress
  • Enhance Physical Capabilities Under Duress:

    • Improve reaction time, endurance, and motor Skills under stress to maintain peak performance in the field
  • Practice Stress Resistance Training:

    • Realistically practice force-on-force drills and real-world scenario training to simulate high-stakes encounters
  • Improve Recovery & Resilience:
