A second arrest of the same suspect has been made in an ongoing Trafficking of Persons investigation. The suspect, who was previously arrested last Friday (10-21-22) for Trafficking of Persons, has been arrested again after Detectives with the New Braunfels Police Department were able to secure a second arrest warrant charging him once again. As in the previous case, the suspect is accused of contacting a juvenile female victim using a social media account, then meeting the victim in person, transporting them to an undisclosed location, and paying the victim for conducting a sexual relationship with him.
58-year old Marc Stephen Jamison was arrested without incident by agents with the US Marshals Office at a gas station located in the 1800 block of Hwy 46 West in New Braunfels. Jamison was then transported to the Comal County Jail where he was booked on a charge of Trafficking of Persons (Texas Penal Code 20A.02), a first degree felony, and bond was set at $500,000. As of this release he remains in custody. It should be noted that the Comal County District Attorney’s Office has filed a motion to also increase Jamison’s bond on the initial charge as well as adding additional conditions of bond and a hearing on that matter is currently pending.
The investigation into this case remains ongoing, and Jamison potentially faces additional charges. NBPD Detectives continues to believe that there may be additional juvenile victims. The crimes against the first victim that came forward, a 16-year old female from New Braunfels, began in May of this year. The crimes again the second victim happened during 2021 when the victim (also from New Braunfels) was 15 years old. Specific details about the nature of the crime, the relationship between the suspect and victim, and the way the crimes were carried out are purposefully being withheld in order to protect the integrity of the investigation and to judge the validity of victims that may come forward.
Anyone who believes they are a victim, or who knows of a potential victim of this suspect, are encouraged to call New Braunfels Police Detective Richard Groff at 830-221-4167.
