All City of New Braunfels facilities and services will be open on Thursday (02/02/23). This includes City Hall, Municipal Court, the Public Library, the New Braunfels Civic & Convention Center, the Westside Community Center, Parks and Recreation Administration, the Landa Park Golf Course at Comal Springs, the City Recycling Center, and the City Municipal Building at 424 S. Castell Ave.
Please Note:
- Das Rec, the City’s recreation center on Landa Street, will delay its opening until 8am. All other city facilities will be open with their normal hours of operation.
- Solid Waste routes will remain on their usual daily schedule, but residents are reminded about the change to recycling collection due to Wednesday’s closure. Recycling collections for the remainder of the week are being pushed back by one day (ie: Wednesday to Thursday, Thursday to Friday).
Forecasters with the National Weather Service are predicting continued rain chances overnight tonight, but temperatures inside the city limits are not expected to drop below freezing. Regardless, drivers are still advised to use caution on area roads, especially on bridges, overpasses, and outlying areas.
New Braunfels City staff will continue to monitor updates from the National Weather Service and any additional announcements about City facilities or services will be posted on the City’s website at www.newbraunfels.gov and the City’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and NextDoor.
