Many City of New Braunfels facilities will be closed on Friday, September 29^th, 2023, in observance of the Comal County Fair Day holiday. This includes: 

• City Hall
• Municipal Court
• Both the Main Branch and the Westside Branch of the Public Library. Please note that the Main Branch on Common Street across from the Fairgrounds will close at 6pm on Wednesday (09/27) and Thursday (09/28) and will be closed for the day on both Saturday (09/30) and Sunday (10/01)
• The New Braunfels Civic and Convention Center
• Parks & Recreation administrative offices
• The Fischer Park Nature Center
• Solid Waste and Recycling administrative offices
• The Westside Community Center

There are no changes to residential and commercial garbage and recycling collection, with garbage, brush, and recycling collection remaining on their usual schedule. 

Please note: Das Rec will have modified hours of operation on Friday (09/29) from 8am to 5pm and there are no changes to the schedule for the Landa Park Golf Course at Comal Springs. 

Traffic Notice: South Seguin Avenue, Main Plaza, East San Antonio Street, and other surrounding streets will be closed beginning at approximately 7:00am for the Comal County Fair Parade. Those street closures will remain in place for the duration of the event until approximately 1:00pm. See attached map for this year’s parade route.
