As clean up from recent heavy rains continues, here is an update on City of New Braunfels river status, facility status, and road conditions:
River Access (Guadalupe and Comal)
Increased river flow, water clarity issues, debris clean up, and hidden submerged debris due to recent heavy rains will continue to close access to the Comal River and Guadalupe River on Monday, July 7, 2025. Conditions will be reevaluated on Tuesday morning (July 8) to determine when recreation can resume.
Landa Park Aquatic Complex (LPAC)
The Olympic Pool and Zero Depth Pool will open at 12pm today; however, the Springfed Pool will remain closed.
Road Conditions
Some roads across the city remain barricaded due to recent rains. Do not drive around barricades. And never drive through standing or rushing water. TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN. It should be noted that the National Weather Service has re-issued a Flood Watch for New Braunfels, Comal County, and Guadalupe County until 11:45pm today. Additional rainfall could cause additional flash flooding. Those ongoing weather factors will play a role in future decisions made by city officials.
