The new catalog software, called TLC’s Library Solution, offers library patrons a variety of features including a user-friendly and mobile-friendly interface, digital integration for e-books and other digital content, an improved search function, a section just for kids, and personalized reading recommendations through partnerships with NoveList Select, Goodreads, and LibraryThing.
"The highlight of the new catalog for the community is the smartphone app which brings the library right to your fingertips,” said Cole Johnson, Director of New Braunfels Public Library. “The app is intuitive and easy to use, which makes navigating our collections a breeze. So, whether you're a student researching a paper or a book lover looking for your next great read, finding what you need will be faster and more efficient than ever. This upgrade truly transforms how our patrons can interact with the New Braunfels Public Library's resources."
As the new catalog system is implemented on October 22nd, users will be required to use their library card number to log in. To find your library card number, you can:
- Look on the back of the card you were issued
- Log in to the current catalog before October 22nd

Additionally, if you are interested in saving your reading history including a list of all of the books you have previously checked out from the library, you will need to log in and download that list before the new catalog system becomes operational on October. 22nd. Once you are logged in, finding your reading history is easy. Simply click on My Account, then select History, and then select Download to retrieve your list of previously checked out materials.
